A program that makes a difference by ensuring families receive the child support they need and deserve.
The Florida Department of Revenue has administered the Child Support Enforcement Program since 1994. Department staff provide child support services in all but two Florida counties. The State Attorney’s Office provides services in Miami-Dade County. The Manatee County Clerk of Court provides services in Manatee County.
The federal government, Florida’s courts, local law enforcement, financial institutions, Florida’s employers, and a host of state agencies all play a part in the successful collection and enforcement of child support.
The services we provide include:
We do not enforce visitation or custody.
Our services are available even if a parent lives in another state or country. For more information about our services go to Child Support Services.
Please know who is contacting you about your child support case. If the person contacting you does not tell you they are the Florida Department of Revenue, Child Support Enforcement Program, you may be talking to someone from a private child support collection agency.
We have no connection to, or association with, any of these private child support collection agencies and therefore cannot guarantee if they are a genuine or credible company.
Private child support collection agencies do business differently than we do. One example is, they may charge fees or keep a percentage of your child support payments for their services.
If you have questions or concerns about your child support case and private child support collection agencies, you can call us at 1-800-622-KIDS (5437).
