Statement by Governor Charlie Crist
regarding the Florida Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday
"Florida’s 2007 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday is Saturday, August 4, 2007, through Monday, August 13, 2007. I encourage all Florida families to prepare this week to help our children make the most of the new school year.
The sales tax holiday is a great way to save on clothing, books and school supplies. Books or clothing that sell for $50 or less and school supplies priced at $10 or less are exempt from sales tax. I am grateful to the Florida Legislature for continuing this great tradition in our state."
