Guidelines
To be considered for the certified minority business enterprise program, companies must become certified as a minority business enterprise. Revenue accepts certifications from the Florida Department of Management Services, Office of Supplier Diversity. If you are interested in getting your business certified, please visit their web site:

Eligibility
In order to be eligible to become certified as a minority business enterprise by the Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD) a business must meet all of the following criteria:
- Engaged in commercial transactions.
- Domiciled in Florida.
- "domicile" is defined as the state in which the business has its principal place of business.
- At least 51% owned by minority person(s) who are permanent residents of Florida.
- "minority" is defined in Ch. 288.703, Florida Statutes as African American, Hispanic American, Asian American, Native American or American Woman.
- "American" is defined as a citizen of the United States of America. (per Black's law dictionary)
- Resident aliens (green card holders) are NOT eligible for certification.
- Managed and controlled by minority persons.
- Performing a useful business function.
- A small business which:
- is independently owned and operated;
- has a net worth of not more than $5 million; and,
- employs 200 or fewer full-time, permanent employees
