FLORIDA FUEL DIVERSION SYSTEM CHANGED

Effective immediately, the method for obtaining a fuel diversion number has been changed in Florida. The phone-in diversion registration system provided by the Department of Revenue has been replaced by the TRAC III web-based diversion registration system. The TRAC III, Internet based diversion registration system is the only system available for obtaining fuel diversion numbers.

To access the new TRAC III system, please use the following instructions:

  • Type http://www.trac3.net in the address box of your web browser.
  • Next, click on the "Registration" button.
  • Then click on "Free Fueltrac Account".
  • Then click on the "Checkout" button.
  • Fill out the required registration form and wait for notification that the process has been successfully completed.

The TRAC III system will provide you with a Personal Identification Number (PIN).

  • After the TRAC III system has provided you with a PIN number, go back to http://www.trac3.net and enter the state's ID number and the PIN number and click "Enter".

Once you have submitted your login information, you will be able to begin a secure session with the Fueltrac System. Follow the on-screen instructions for entering the required information. Any information you enter is restricted and only viewable by your state. Any reported items are viewable by your bordering states. There is no cost to register a diversion in the system.

The import authorization system remains the same phone-in system. The number is 1-800-360-5436.
